Shipping & Returns
In a slow fashion approach, 1ER MAI creates made-to-order pieces, which means the manufacturing process only starts once a customer order is confirmed. This allows customization while avoiding waste and overproduction. For this reason, please allow the necessary time for the preparation of your order before shipping.
Regular orders are shipped from Montreal, Canada within 10-14 business days after we receive the payment unless specified differently. One-of-a-kind, upcycled and customized orders are shipped from Montreal, Canada within 3 to 5 weeks after we receive the payment unless specified differently.
1ER MAI is pleased to offer free shipping to Canada and the United States on all orders and free shipping to France on orders of 250$ CA and up.
Items purchased will be sent with Canada Post Standard Service. A shipping confirmation with the tracking number will be e-mailed to you as soon as your purchase has been shipped. Purchases may not be shipped to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses. If your package is not successfully delivered and is sent back to 1ER MAI by the courier, we will contact you to proceed to a new delivery. The original shipping fee is not refundable.
1ER MAI is not responsible for unanticipated delays, including national and international holidays. If your estimated delivery date has passed, please contact us at: email@example.com and we will do our best to solve the issue.
If you purchase goods from us for delivery to a destination outside Canada, your purchase may be subject to import duties and taxes applied by the destination country. We are not responsible for any restrictions, taxes, duties, custom fees and any other fees applied by the destination country and are not liable for any failure by you to pay them. By submitting your orders, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Please contact your local customs office for more information before making a purchase.
You are required to provide us with a complete and accurate delivery address, including the name of the recipient. We are not liable for the delivery of your items to the wrong address or wrong person as a result of you providing us with inaccurate or incomplete information.
1ER MAI is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.
Exchange & Return Policy
1ER MAI wants to ensure your complete satisfaction. All items are quality controlled and checked for faults before they are shipped to customers. In the unlikely event of a any damage or error from our side we will be happy to correct or exchange the item for you, and if the item is out of stock, we will fully refund you.
We only accept returns if items are defective or damaged.
All exchanges/returns must be requested by sending an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org within 14 days of receiving the item.
Please use this as a reference for your subject line: ‘’Exchange/return request, order #XXXX’’. Be sure to include your name, e-mail, order number, images and a brief explanation of the problem.
If the item you would like is no longer available or the exchange is not accepted, it will not make it eligible for a refund.
Once an exchange is accepted and the new size/item is put aside, the original item must be shipped back at the customer's expense. A copy of the original receipt or a proof of purchase must accompany the exchange to be validated. You are encouraged to ship your exchange using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your item.
You will receive an e-mail notification once your item is received, a second e-mail once we have evaluated the item’s condition and a third e-mail when the exchanged item is shipped. Please allow 10-14 days business days for the new item to be shipped.
Items must be sent back in their original condition, unworn, undamaged, unwashed, unaltered, free from any odors, still in its original packaging and with all hang tags and labels attached.
1ER MAI reserves the right to refuse the return of any merchandise that does not meet the above criteria. In such instances, the product will be sent back to the customer at the customer's expense.
Items on sale and customized/personalized items are considered final sale and are not eligible for exchange or refund.
Exchanged items are considered final sale and are not eligible for another exchange or refund.
All refunds will be returned in the original form of payment.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
